Week #2: Called
Check out Week #1 to catch up!
This week we are going to focus on the word Called…
Day One by 9 am was already killing me and I hadn’t even left the house…Online IKEA 10% off sales, Target online deals…DEALS DEALS DEALS!!! I am the deal queen! And can’t pass these up…BUT I DID! Phew…focus focus focus…play games with kids, ignore the emails!
They have the power to give life…
You were a straight shooter. You walked into my laundry room and made no qualms about saying how ridiculous the set up was. You complained about how low the machines sat. You squawked about how the dirty piles just laid out there in the open taking up the space in my dining room.
That’s right…No spending…Nothing extra that costs money.
My husband and I love to spend and shop…although its been within our budget (Dave Ramsey Style), our budget is going to be getting smaller so we are needing to reset and redo the next few months of budget and No Spend January is going to start us off on the right foot! (I hope!)
Ok folks, many people either love resolutions or loathe them. I am not one to pick sides, but I personally am in the camp of loving them, (please don’t hate me), but it wasn’t always this way!
I had times of desire to change aspects of my life, I would try and try again, but to no avail. At some point I would give up, forget about it for some time and then be reminded the following year of all that I had failed at.
After years of growth with God, He finally showed me (or I finally accepted) a “resolutionary” way of thinking! I was going about it all wrong and the moment I grasped this new concept, it made all the difference in the world…and I’m not talking about being positive or having the right support in your lives (although helpful)…I’m talking about something that appears to be the opposite of wanting change…
Are you ready for this profound, life altering concept….you might not be so happy once you see it…be prepared…
We hear this each and every time a baby is born, “Congratulations!”.
If you’re like me, the few days before Christmas is full of to-do lists and energetic children. These beautiful little ones are overly anticipating the coming celebration and even if they haven’t already raided the cookie jar, they are bound to, and the extra energy can be exhausting for Mama! I have decided to try to plan for this extra surge of crazy with a few energy burning activities to use for the days ahead! Feel free to tweak them and make them work for you! Continue reading
